Dear brothers and sisters!

Dear brothers and sisters, The idea behind creating this website came from the necessity to provide truthful information about our monastery. This is the only Russian Orthodox monastery in the Far East of Russia, the region which neighbours China, Japan and Korea.

Over the last few years, the Spiritual Council of the monastery has put a lot of effort into uncovering truthful information about our cloister. The last few decades saw this truth being conceived and lost. Currently, the monastery’s archive has over 2000 pages of documents depicting the history of our monastery. These were found in five archives in Russia and abroad. Today, all those who are interested in the history of this unique place have a chance to acquaint themselves with the monastery’s background.

Visitors to these pages now also have an opportunity to communicate with the brethren. For anybody who has questions on the religious life of Orthodox Christians, we are offering a chance to get the information that interests them directly from the representatives of the monastery’s Spiritual Council.
It goes without saying that we will be very happy to talk to not only Orthodox Christians but members of any religious denomination or anybody who is interested.

The worldwide web is becoming increasingly popular and its users are flooded with all kinds of information. Our wish is that amongst all this information, more space would be given to what we all lack so much today — the eternal good.
